Its been coming long enough and I'm finally at a point where I'm happy with what I've made. Version one was a learning curve. I made pretty much every mistake I could along the way from flooding before I added a sand cap, which is why I have so much soil above the sand, to plants I realized would outgrow the bowl in no time.
Learning (enough) from the first try I grabbed some lower growing plants, and darker substrate, capped before flooding and now have version 2:
I'm assuming the bubbles are whats referred to as pearling? which is odd as I don't have any Co2 in there
Plants: Mini Christmas and weeping moss, dwarf sag and hair grass, star grass, and pearl weed.
