Hello everyone i have been lurking on these forums for a while. I have a 29 gallon tank that i just took all the fish and plants out and now its time to start over. This is what i have right now.
30 gallon marineland canister filter.
30 gallon hang on the back filter
30 inch T5 6.7k 2 bulb fixture.
For my substraight i used eco complete and thats it. This is the main reason why i want to restart this i dont think just eco complete is a good enough sub all on its own. So First question. What do you run in your tank for substraight? What do you like about it and what dont you like about it? I have been looking into the wall stad method and its growing on me. Only thing i dont like about it it takes no matinence and i love working with my tank. Another thing with it is you need to plant super heavy right away other wise you will get insane algea? I would like to be able to take my time and get the plants i want instead of just getting stuff just to fill it up. One thing i dont like is dosing a stupid amount of ferts. So are there any methods that you would suggest? Or substraights not everything is a method
I am about to invest in a C02 system i used a cheap fluval one that had a baby canister on it and it last like 2 weeks and it runs out. and im sick of paying 20 dollars for C02 wheni could pay 15 dollars to re fill a tank up that will last me 6 months. So suggestions on what C02 system i should invest in? Is a PH controller a must or not?
That is the regulator i was checking out. I would also like to get an inline diffuser for my canister instead of having the diffuser in the tank. Any suggestions on that?
Thats all i have for right now but please post constructive advice. Any input is welcome though thank you!!!!
