Default Plants arriving tomorrow! Question about aquascape

Hi everyone,

Thanks so much for the wonderful info I've gotten from here! I set up my dirted tank tonight, below is a pic. As you can see there are still plenty of bubbles. I had a superhard time getting the driftwood to settle in, it wanted to float - it is a beaver stick someone gave me.

The plants are arriving tomorrow: bacopa monieri, java ferns for background; cryptocoryne wendtii and anubias barteri var nana for midground and cryptocoryne parva and java moss for foreground.

The lack of driftwood in my tank is because I am still waiting for a centerpiece to arrive but it could take a few weeks(!) - meanwhile I am pondering what to do with the java fern/moss/anubias - I don't want to plant them all onto the one piece of wood I have in there.

How have other people tied on their plants? Should I just buy some river rocks (the small kind) and tie the plants to that?
