Question help me stock a 125 please!

I am trying to decide on what to stock in a 125 that will be moderate to heavily planted, so no obvious plant eaters wanted! I can't wrap my head around all this space, and I need help choosing fish based on other people's actual experiences with what's on my list so far.
What I have in my list right now are locally available and easy to get, and I don't have any of these fish in other tanks (I'm trying to avoid duplicating species).
I strongly prefer schooling/shoaling fish, and I'd really like to get something that grows larger than the normal tetras and neons that I have, to show off the bigger tank = more swim room. Also I have no experience with cories, cats, or plecos other than the common pleco that I got rid of because it fouled the tank so fast. Do they all do that? I'd like to have something on all levels of the tank.
So here's the short list of larger fish. Would 2 to 3 main schools (10 or more fish per species) and a school of something small like neons or lemon tetras or harlequins be too much given the larger size and increased waste? I'm going to be using a Hamburg Mattenfilter and twin Koralias...
So these are what I'm trying to choose from;
Boesemani Rainbow, Praecox Rainbow, Turquoise Rainbow, Congo Tetra, Diamond Tetra, Roseline Torpedo barbs, Tiger barbs (even though I already have some in another tank) I should also add Ornate Rainbow - I'm having trouble looking these up, but I can get them for $1 a piece on Mondays when my lfs has 50% off day (any fish under $5). It sounds like Ornate rainbows might be very pretty?
Thank for any help!

PS - in other tanks I already have Celebes Rainbows, neons, black tetras, harlequins, tiger barbs, Columbian tetras, Buenos Aires tetras, and rosy barbs.
Any other suggestions are welcomed!

hmmm. I just read the Boesemani like a narrow temp. range of 81 - 86? Guess they're out!
