I have only been dosing small amounts that I found recommended for low light tanks, however today I got a new nitrate test kit and my nitrates are up to 40.
This makes me think that I am overdosing my tank. Easing up on the KNO3 is easy enough, but I'm not sure what to do as far as phosphates and potassium. Does fish poop provide those as well and I don't need to dose anything besides maybe a little flourish? Or should I continue to dose the phosphates and get some K2S04 for potassium?
just dose the seachem floursih, add little bit of potassium during water changes. there is no need to add KNO3 and Phosphate if you have allot of fishes and feed them well.
what are the water parameter? No co2?? your lights sounds high, how many watts are the bulbs?
