Why when i use a reactor? I'm not a fan of bubbling or diffusing into a filter. Have done this on a hob same Principe of motor as the canister. Motor and impeller got really hot. Actually raised the temp some. As well as the canister holds plenty of biomedia. It needs o2 going into it for a healthy bio. Also with the canister you can add enough co2 into it where it starts belching out bubbles. You can't tune that very well. With a reactor I can tune it a lot better and get a better co2 mix ratio.
