From the greenbelt behind Plantation Golf Course, I had hoped to find something good. The water was high, and it looked like we would be wasting time there.

So, we stopped by Ann Morrison Park. Under the bridge at Americana my wife pulled out of the Boise River the best piece of driftwood we found all day.

It's too big for this tank, but at some future date I'll have an aquarium large enough for it. It looks solid enough. I didn't see any rot. It still needs some bark stripped off, and to be sterilized. I can't imagine any way to boil this piece, so it'll have to be bleached, I suppose. Still, I'll have to read up on how to properly prepare driftwood for a freshwater aquarium.

Assuming I can use this piece of driftwood, at least a couple angles look like they would work in a tank. I'm thinking the first picture here would probably the the one.
I'm a fan of the upside down versions. I like the one piece sticking up you could attach some emersed plants to. IMHO
