and thank you londonloco I agree heavily planted tanks are much easier to maintain. Mine was very heavily planted but then BGA took over and literally choked everything out. All I have left are java ferns, anubias and brazilian pennywort... as well as duckweed and ricca. I have no ideas how they got in my tank because I havent added anything new in over a year and never had these plants until a few months ago. Suddenly they are covering the surface of my tank. Very strange.

I went through the entire thread on low tech can be lush too and found a tank almost exactly like mine in specs. So I need to look at getting plants like the ones in there. And other low light plants.
