Ph, Kh and CO2
Hi all. Hopefully some here can help me. I have a 30 liter nano cube set up for CRS and CBS. Currently I am running about 60 bubbles per minute of CO2 to maintain a Ph of about 6.8. To me 60 bubbles a minute seems excessive, Especially when the literature with the CO2 system said to start with about 1 bubble per 10 liters and fine tune from there. Looking at the Ph, Kh and CO2 charts, it seems that if I raise my Kh (currently at about 3), I should be able to lower the amount of CO2 required to maintain about 20ppm of CO2. Are my assumptions right? Does increasing your Kh reduce the amount of CO2 needed to maintain a Ph value of about 6.8?
