Haha yea I totally understand that. When I first started planted tanks I didn't know better (heck who does). The footprint issues and lighting problems for hexs were unknown to me. Now that I've run the 10 gallon for so long and its nice and easy maintenance I've gotten to where I really like the footprint. It just presents some different challenges to try to make it look good.
Glad mine isn't hurl inducing!
