One of the way plant Glosso is that you cut them down to those 2 leaf nodes. And you just plant those. you can plant them deep enough so they don't float, but not completely burying the leafs.

Stays small and it's easy to remove! Depends on the type of the that's going to be in the tank, it's root can get long, good for the cherries :p
