the only one that I can think of is phosphate removal media. yes tannins are dissolved organics so most types of media for removing waste organics will remove tannins too.

+1. I don't know how far Everett Washington is from Portland, but if its within an hour or so its totally worth the drive. they have a HUGE selection and im sure they would have what your looking for.
