Go ahead and pull them whenever you're doing your next WC. I've pulled them at that size and it doesn't take too long for them to grow up! Just so long as you can see a rhizome it's a viable plant.

Depends dude. Walmart crap fiberboard furniture will fail 100% of time resulting in much cussing and misery. Solid wood cabinetry will hold. Trial and error may be your best bet though....
