You're going to lose very little CO2 running 2 drains, no need to seal the sump. The majority of your water drains via a siphon which means no turbulence and no off gassing of CO2.

I think all lighting types have their place given the tank constraints and budget in place. I'm most likely going LEDs on my sump display. I think the Current-USA Freshwater Plus will fit it nicely....
