I have the powerquad light over my 18g tall. I needed it because of the depth of the tank. I got some algae when I first switched over to this light but since then the tank has balanced out nicely....

So if I understand this correctly, My two 18" 15 watt bulbs running in series should give me approx. 60 watts over my 18 gal.? 3.3 watts per gallon.
