Ok thanks it's been in the tank for about 3 days it's still melting slowly. Parts of the plants still look healthy. I just wasn't sure what to expect from this particular plant.

If it's blue/green algae it's a sign of low nitrates. Your plants might be sucking up the nitrates. Or you don't have enough biological filtration. Cut back on the water changes and get a test kit....
