But then again Petsmart has a 2 week guarantee. That guarantee has saved me quite a good amount of money.

But I guess you could blame them for having unhealthy fish in the first place.

Have any of you had AH supply bulbs burn out on you yet?

About how long did that take?

One of my 36W bulbs burnt out and it's only been less than a year :(

i don't think those spinning reactor 500s work all that well, i stopped using mine cause my hagen bubble ladder gives me better results with a lower bubble rate

Yeah I'm curious too, according to my SMS PH probe with a pH of 6.4 and a kH of 10, my CO2 should be at toxic levels.

But my drop checker reads green and the fish seem fine.

I'm not sure about you guys but I dose EI with KNO3, KH2PO4, and K2SO4 with Flourish trace. Sufficient lighting and ~30ppm CO2 as well.

I always seem to find that the plants pearl the most and...

For smaller sized tanks though I think it's ok to use a HOB....I'm running two HOB on two of my pressurized tanks, granted they're only 10 and 15 gallons, I can easily boost my CO2 up to 40+ ppm.

The thing is, I think I get more light from the 2x36 than I did from the 4x24 so I'm very happy with the AH kit!

Depends on your bubble rate as well. I'm using a 2.5lb tank on a 10G running about 1bps and I expect it to last at least a few months but we'll see.

I dose EI and and pumping nearly 5 wpg into my 10G, the anubias grow extremely fast...
