I really like my rubbernose pleco, I could watch her much all over the tank all day. I've named her Nessie since she is about 4-4 1/2" so far and is the lochness monster of the tank.

I have an eheim and use it for trips. Seems to work pretty well. I find the best auto-feeder is that friend that "Owes you". :) I always get a buddy to stop by and feed my fish and fert my tanks....

Sorry to hear your lose. I would set up the QT and use household ammonia on it to cycle it. Once cycled you can just drip in a few drops of ammonia every few days and this will keep the cycle...
