finnex fugeray planted + is 114$ on amazon. I think that's probably the most par for your dollar you'll find in an LED. Not saying it's the best, just that you'll have to spend more to get better.

Thanks, no worries though. I'll find something. An old T8 would probably be perfect but I'm trying to keep my usage down as much as possible to make up for the number of tanks I'm adding :)

I put prefilter sponges on all my filter intakes. Helps keep the filter itself from getting filled up with mulm, and prevents and shrimplets or fish fry from getting sucked in.

They are a freshwater crustacean. Sort of like shrimp. They feed on detritus and algae. They are fine and won't hurt anything and your fish will enjoy eating the ones that get thrown into the tank...
