Goby is nice, but I was thinking of something more mid-column. My ideal fish would've been a dwarf cichlid but then I would have to part with all my shrimp which I like....

Thanks, interesting that you mention fish selection. I am getting a little bored with just neons and CPDs and am considering adding a few more fish to spice things up. Any suggestions?

I would not call Eheim Classic truly silent. In a quiet room you can definitely hear slight humming. Everybody's tolerance is different though.

Could you please elaborate on what the right method is? The UG I was trying to plant was about 2 inches tall, I would stick it 2/3 of the way into the substrate.
