As Darkblade suggested, the chelates we use are organic. Activated charcoal has a large affinity for organics. So once Fe and other substances are chelated AC can and do remove them.

Thanks for pointing out the solubility of K2SO4 NilOCG. When mixed with other fertilizers I suspect the solubility would go down.
