If you have more plants now they will usually require more co2 maybe more than your diy co2...

More than likely increasing the co2 itself will not get rid of the algae, but will prevent it from growing back. You need to remove as much as possible. If it wont come off remove the badly infected...

I got some tops of L. aromatica and planted on the left side in the rear and moved some of the repens by the wood. My plants are growing great and the algae isnt bad so I'm pretty happy about this...
