Fish burying itself?

I rescaped my tank today, and my female Jack Dempsey was very stressed during the transition. At one point I lost track of her, until I noticed her tail sticking out from under the subtrate (eco...

Very very nice, I love the F-series tanks. Toying with the idea of building my own 75-F or 90-F as they don't make them bigger than the 60-F

Both are great canisters. Both will of course have lemons/bad units as any large-scale manufacturing product does. I have a Fluval 406, and really like it. Honestly, you can't go wrong with either....

Filterless 7.5 cube?

I've seen filterless bowls etc work, but I'm not sure about a tank as "large" as a 12" cube. I have one set up as a shrimp cube, and I was going to experiment with it. I wanted a clean look, so I had...

FYI Floramax from Caribsea is almost identical to EcoComplete (it's just dry vs wet, and the particle size can be a wee bit different), and PetSmart often has it on sale for 7$ a bag.

12" Cube lighting

I'm setting up a 12" cube (30$ brand new, can't go wrong) as a shrimp tank, low tech and simple (AC20 filter, low light plants and mosses etc). I was thinking of doing a desk lamp + 13w CFL for...
