Any suggestions?

This is, more or less, the current look of my 30g. There's a gigantic wad of moss on some driftwood on the left, behind there is some stem plant (rotala perhaps, I can't remember). The whole rear...

Temp Control While on Vacation

I'll be away from home for 3 weeks in August, last time I did this my fish died (either due to high temps, a automatic feeder malfunction, or a combination of both). I now have better flow (possibly...

I just cleaned my canister, about 5.5 months since I last cleaned it. It was disgusting.

I'm going to clean it again in 2 months and when I do I will determine if I can let it go a bit longer.

I may have found the culprit...co2 atomizer appears to be clogged.

I tried cleaning it in bleach solution but no go. I'm going to try one more time, as I didn't soak it for long. If it is still...

I ordered a Dennerle valve this week, will try it with the tubing I have. If I'm still having issues, I'll check out the GLA CO2 tubing.

Thanks for the help everyone.

It is a cheapo air valve, and I don't know what the tubing size is (I bought it from Big Als or Dr F&S).

I think I will try a better check valve and see if that helps.

Tubing pops off check valve?

Every so often the tubing from my CO2 canister pops off from the check valve - does anyone know how to stop this from happening?

Perhaps I need a brass check valve, with barbs?

On the topic of leaks, how do you prevent leaks where the tubing connects to the check valve? I think I need a check valve with barbs for a better seal.

Don't waste the excel. Clean in peroxide or bleach, much cheaper. Just rinse well in dechlorinated water.

I have a 30G with Marineland C-220 and like it. I think Fluval or Ehiem get more recommendations but I don't really see neg comments on the Marinelands (I just think they are less popular).
