I found the metal clamps brought the lights too...

I found the metal clamps brought the lights too close to the top of the tank without making the set up ungainly tall. I used black zip ties.

I made a frame out of pvc pipe and spray painted...

I made a frame out of pvc pipe and spray painted it black with kyrlon. The frame kind of fit around the tank. if you know what I'm saying.

The barrel is for a gravity fed trickle filter. The current set up isn't quite working as well as I had hoped. there's too much water for the gravity outlet to handle and I don't want to throttle it...

I have a barrel with a 3/4" hole in it that I want to enlarge to 2". How would I do this? Apparently a hole saw will not work because the pilot bit has nothing to grab. Is there an alternative?

Just started algaefix treatment outside tank.

I had a very large BBA infestation on some wood + anubias. So I took the wood out and into a 5g bucket I've treated it with Algaefix. I'll document things as it progresses.
