I would think loaches will try to eat anything they can. Wether they could catch the fry is a question. I've heard around the traps that the loaches have to be a reasonable size to take on snails...

There aren't many, but there are always some. They are ubiquitous in the environment, so they eventually end up in the tank. We just concluded some experiments on this and found the mean difference...
