Yep was leaning towards subwassertang as it does grow a LOT faster as u have noted. Very hardy plant and yes is thrown in refugium a lot as irs again hardy and grows fast

Out of all my tanks, my go to carpet plant is always DHG belem, its so easy to take care of and requires pretty much no maintanance and carpets beautifully in my opinion

thats just fungus that gets on dw when its first put into water, should go away on its own in a few weeks. I usually try and suck up as much of it was I can during water changes

Thanks, I added some DHG Belem to it but not sure how well it will carpet in a no co2 tank and one which wont get very frequent water changes as its mainly a tank for the shrimp.

LOL if I had to clean my canisters once every month I wouldnt find time to do anything else. My rule of thumb is if the flow is fine and I dont see any algae blooms then I dont clean the filters....
