There is a lot of biofilm but I'm not feeding everyday because of the planaria. I think I'll get those nuked and then see what a more frequent feeding schedule does.

I responded to your question on the "other" forum along with pictures! The 16" sits on the lid over the tank section with no cutting of the lid necessary. It just sits up there.

It grows fine in my tank ... I rarely use any liquid ferts, though I've been increasing those a bit lately. Haven't used any root tabs on that side of the tank. It grows more tall instead of bushy....
