My PH is pretty low right now.. 6.3, so I don't need any substrate that further lower the PH. I know that Ada Aquasoil lowered PH so I don't think that will work. I'm looking at...

Not really.. my waste water has about 450 ppm TDS, and PH is very high... my pure RO PH is way too low (below 6.0).. mixing the two allow me to control PH and TDS, doesn't hurt that it's free either.

300 gpd is actually pretty good. I haven't compare Merlin performance, but I doubt it is as good as the normal RO/DI membrane.
