We don't use chemicals so that isn't an issue. But the particles of sand may indeed be too fine. They still haven't fully settled. I really didn't want to use pool sand either because it's so bright.

Is there such a thing as sand that is TOO fine for using to cap soil? I had to dig a hole for a different reason yesterday and kept some of the sand from deeper underground to use. I've washed it...

I picked up a Deep Blue SolarFlare Micro 6,700K light for my 3 gallon picotope. Would that qualify as low, medium or high light? I've already asked the company but would like other opinions as well.
