I removed the rocks. I have some petrified wood and round river stones as my options now. Researching petrified wood now, so far I have read that it may increase GH.

You may be right, it may be limestone. I did a vinegar test and got no reaction though but I can't find any other matches. This is disappointing, now Ill probably have to remove it.

I really like the dimensions of my standard 10g. It may be my favorite tank for every thing, whether it be for planted or reefs.
