Fertilizer Ice cubes?

Odd idea:

Anyone ever think about premixing a dry fertilizer mix with water and then freezing them as ice cubes for easy dispensing? I realize that dry fertilizers can only be mixed ahead of time...

I have a heavily planted, high light, DIY CO2 injected tank with GW ferts. My plants are growing and pearling lke crazy but even though it's recently set up, I'm getting a good amount of algae...

Regardless, the filter's outflow comes out of the top, creating surface movement...

Do you mean the bottom of the tank as in the top of the substrate? If so, then yeah. It'll probably cover your substrate as well. The stuff isn't easy to kill.

The whole point of this tank is to get extreme growth. I'm going to amp up my co2 to 2 1.5liters so I think if any of that was exposed to the air, it would be lost.

This is a plant only tank so...
