Just speculating, but it does seem like water straight out of the tap as a lot of gas dissolved in it. More gas == more "pearling". Pearling probably has less to do with plant growth than it does...

You could put a small pump inline (like a Maxi Jet) and inject CO2 right before it.
Canister filter->CO2->Pump->Tank
That shouldn't be too hard. Maybe a little hard for just an experiment...

I think the "conversion" wouldn't be much at all. I seems the equivalent inline system would be inject the CO2 directly upstream of your pump. The pump chops up the big bubbles into tiny ones and...

Not arguing at all. It's just a comment on the observations that the CO2 bubbles rapidly decrease in size at first, and then, at a much smaller size -but much larger than the 0.03% impurities could...

Just a note. There will be diffusion into the bubble also, correct? So a large bubble of 99.97% CO2 could quickly become a small bubble of O2 as CO2 diffuses out and O2 diffuses in.
Interesting...

I'd try to see if the place that'll fill your CO2 bottle has a regulator that you could rent for a week. There'd be no solenoid, but 1 weeks worth of manually opening and closing the valve shouldn't...

Gross Genaralization An o-ring is designed to seal at around 20-30% compression. For a CO2 tank, this is more than enough. Which means, for an AS568-1xx o-ring (0.103 c/s), it should be compressed...

I will give that a try, but I am confused at how I'm running so rich. The dosages were taken directly from your recommendations for a high light 20 gallon tank - just scaled up by a factor of 6. I'm...

Meaning you dose 20-30 ppm of NO3, or you keep it at that level?
Also, my understanding was that, in terms of light, CO2, and other macros, more is more, not less is more. You know what I mean? If...

Vacation, Algae, & EI - What the heck happened?
First some background. The tank has been set-up since around mid-April. At the very start, things were growing like crazy, everything was beautiful. A few weeks in, algae started to take hold and, in...
