But in a filled tank, this is not a concern as regular water changes take care of the excess nutrients, which you can't do at your present stage.

I know DIY works and it is used to great success by a lot of aquascapers. But still, my personal recommendation is to go with pressurized CO2.

Constant measured CO2 is still the best.

I love that carpet! Just got to wait for it to thicken up now and there is no stopping it from doing that.

I would say go with MP, moss will require constant trimming as they do grow pretty fast...
