I have not kept one with tiny fish so no clue if they would eat them or not, they are pretty peaceful, I got 5 of them when they were tiny and kept them all together in a 20 long for about 6 months...

I do believe prime really does not effect the test results, it does not remove ammonia, nitrate, or nitrites, it detoxifies them and makes them "safe" for fish, but only for 24 hours.
