Really enjoying this thread, as I've been curious about this light. I wish manufacturers would make more mounting options, though. It seems so many are made to either hang from the ceiling or mount...

I also recommend GLA. I've had a couple of their regulators and I've had no problems with them. They work well and are built well.

Hello all,

I'm in the process of gathering supplies and whatnot for a new set-up for my 65 gallon aquarium. I was at the LFS today picking up some CaribSea sand, and I noticed a fish I had not...

I get snails like that in my aquariums, and they never cause any issues. The population seems to rise and fall periodically, but generally over time it seems to decrease. I always seem to have a boom...

Can dry ferts go "bad"?

Hello all,

This may be a silly question, but can dry ferts go bad? I mean in the sort of "salt losing its saltiness" sort of way.

I'll be starting a new aquarium up again in November, and it's...

Pressurized CO2 would likely help provided more, and more consistent flow of, carbon. I would highly recommend you move away from a yeast based system.

You may want to try dry dosing ferts....

I don't really see any BBA in there, unless I'm missing it. Diatoms, maybe.

You may get some better diagnoses posting in the algae forum.

Wow! Wonderful set-up. Love how the roots of the Anubias hang down in certain places; really give the feel of a jungle, or maybe Spanish Moss hanging from oak trees.

Also love the Rummynose Tetras...

"Siesta" period: who does this?

Just curious who here still does a "siesta" period in their lighting schedule. I've traditionally done it, but I'm not too sure how much of a difference it's made where algae is concerned.

Is...
