it looks like a simple lighting solution and inexpensive. why drop a lot of money when you can have something inexpensive but effective for a fraction of the cost.

I have since added 3 abn and 1 common pleco about 6" and they have been in the tank for about 48 hours and they have cleaned up about 50% of the algae. I did an 80% water...

I have a hob filter and a sponge filter, and the tank is a 40 breeder so its' fairly shallow.
It could be strong water agitation...... thanks, plus I have added fertilizer.

I have started a new tank 40 gallon breeder.
I am using eco complete for the first time.
It is in my basement, with very little natural light.
I have a 100 watt light.
2 sponge filters and 1 hob....
