It creates a peaceful ambience for me to work. I find I do better work when I have a little "mental escape," I think it cleanses the pallette so creativity can flow more easily.

Why not use the power compact lights with the screw in base. they have an internal ballast so all you need is screw in fixtures. I just picked one up for 6 dollars the other day.
