That is probably 2-3 too many. Some say one per 5 gallons but I have found that 1 per 2-3 gallons is a good ratio.

How many do you have? Do you have any noticeable algae? It could be just a case of overpopulation and they are not moving around because there is no algae for them to eat.

I do something similar except I tie them to a button and stick the button in the substrate. The holes in the button make tying easier and if I need some weight I will use a larger button and glue one...

If you want to make them look a little older, boil them in strong tea. It will darken the color, give them a good cleaning, and if anything leaches, it will be tannins from the tea.

I never use it and have a number of anubias. The one that has grown the best and the fastest for me is an anubias nana I got from PetSmart. I started with one with 4 or 5 leaves (about 2 years ago)...

Thanks for the video. Of course, CRS (which are all I saw) are bigger than RCS. I'm not worried about the occasional baby getting eaten, I just don't want my whole population to be dinner.

I love the API ammonia kit but I prefer the Seachem nitrate/nitrite kit. Super simple, easy to read, and you use the same water for both.
