Not sure what you're asking. It can be stored indefinitely dry. If you mix it up with water to resemble Prime, it doesn't have any stabilizers, so Seachem doesn't recommend that. I've done it,...

I've used silicon grease myself. Usually can be found in the hardware store. It's also helpful for applying to filter heads and the like when assembling or reassembling a filter.

A 2213 is great for a 20 gallon. It comes with a simple spray bar. I've got 3 2213s, one on 20, another on a 30, and another one as a secondary filter on a 55.

With the valves, you can reduce the flow. I've got a 2217 running in a 29 without problem. Of course, if you are also running a AC 70, a 2215 would be fine.

I have a bunch of Eheim canisters, and like them a lot. I have three 2213s and I'd recommend that over a 2211 on a 20 gallon tank. A 2211 won't have a lot of flow and will get filled up with sludge...

I've never used an Eheim 2071, but I have used the Classic line, a 2034, a 2028, and a 2227. I tend to buy foam in bulk (in different PPIs) and cut it to fit my filters. I don't worry about a fine...
