I disagree, for I have laterite under Alternanthera Reineckii and I still dose iron sulfate weekly. Since it is melting it needs iron sulfate daily for a week.

Lilaeopsis brasiliensis or Marsilea Minuta would definitely grow in your tank. I have not had any luck with baby tears without injecting Co2.

Marsilea quadrifolia as suggested didn't grow well for me in a 20g long tank with a T8 light strip. I think Hygro Difformis, Crypts and Lilaeopsis brasiliensis would grow with the T8 light strip.
