might do,i got some red ramshorn snails to sort out the BBA i had,cleaned the tank within 6 weeks.no sign of any BBA now.:thumbsup:

Drop checker

Hi all, how high in my tank should my drop checker be ?
Just been told 3" from the bottom, but the instructions say 10
cm from the top of the water.

It's a plastic one, with an o ring to seal it....

It's a plastic one, with an o ring to seal it. The liquid was blue when put
in the checker. Have removed it now, cleaned refilled and put back in tank.
The liquid is light blue now.

hi all.would a 50% water change affect the reading on my drop checker?
just put some new 4 dKH Solution with Bromo Blue in the drop checker,filled the tank up and now the liquid is transparnt!

i had staghorn bad,got rid of it with daily 20% water changes,inc filter sponge clean every week, and daily normal easycarbo dosing.
all gone in 2 weeks.
the cause was over...

its snail poo,ive got 4 in my 75L.they do a great jod of cleaning up the walls,filter etc.
i did have one in my edge but cleaning up the poo was a pain in butt.
he now lives in the bigger tank.
