There's also tons of DIY tanks with this aquaponics idea if you look around, and they actually work... Probably cost about the same for bigger volume, as well.

I've set up a tank with MGOCPM that leeched ammonia for a couple weeks, then other tanks with the same dirt that didn't have any ammonia problems... so it really depends on your setup when you can...
