weight to hold top cover down?

What do some of you use to add weight to the top cover of your tank? Some of us have "jumpers" which could easily lift the top cover off.

acrylic top cover with hot metal halides

I have been looking for a cheap alternative for top covers for my 178 gallon tank. The versa tops are $170 which is more than what i am willing to spend.

I went and bought nylon mesh and it works...

coralife fixtures...any bulbs?

I have the metal halide and compact flourescent combo. My question is do we have to buy coralife brand CF? I seen sunpaq and other cheaper alternatives.

Trying to find a 50/50 10000k and 6700k.

I guess when you say "bulbs" you are referring to how fixtures i have.

In the light fixture, it takes in four compact flour. which are double square pins.

So i ordered a bulk of plants and some of them have metal clamps at their roots. Do I open the metal clamps? or can I plant them with the plants?

Do I have to buy all coralife for it to work with this fixture? 420nm 96 Watts Compact Flourscent square pin 32-33" is what the manual says.

Could some recommend a few brands that could work?

ok i realized there are 4 CF but they are...

ok i realized there are 4 CF but they are doubles...so perhaps 96 x 8? Anyways, plan is to blast MH 1-2 hours and 4-6 hours of CF for hardy/low light plants.

Could you recommend a color hoppy? 10k...
