Coralife light failure

I went through several t5no coralife fixtures before I finally gave up. No idea why they had so many quality issues with those but it has made me very unwilling to buy more coralife products.

fenbendazole and nerites

Fenben killed all of my nerites. I suggest one or more water changes before putting yours back in. Stir up the bottom a little if you can because the mess have a tendency to settle.

If you like nerite snails couldn't you just get 1 of each species so they won't breed and lay eggs? It's possible that you could buy one that's already preggers but for the most part I think they...

What Should I DIY w/ A Broken Coralife T5 Fixture?

I turned 2 of my old ones into DIY gu10 led fixtures. I took the electronics out and mounted the sockets to the plastic splash guard. Wired the switch so it still works.

I have never had any of my CPOs mess with my plants. Also, 2.5 inches seems very large, mine have never grown that big. It is true they might attack fish, but they usually don't do much harm. Mine...

Bump it.

He's been in my tank for a few weeks now and is fat and healthy, but I'd really like to know what he is so I can get another. Maybe a she, if he is in fact a he.

Are CPO sensitive to Excel?

Excel never bothered my cpos, even at overdose levels. Granted, I worked up to those levels instead of just dumping it in.

Anyone know what this guy is? I got him from my LFS but he came in mislabeled and they don't know what he is either.

PS ignore the algae in the picture.

Best Tank for Planted Betta Tank

Led lights use less electricity and produce less heat than other lighting options. Also, you get a neat "shimmer" effect that other lights (other than metal halide) will not give you. True, they're...

Brightest neo's?

Also, don't keep the fire reds and the pumpkins together. If they breed they'll make brown.

A 4 bulb t5ho will be ridiculous overkill for a 20 long. Either go with 2x dual bulb t5no fixtures or 1 dual bulb t5ho fixture.

When I ran t5no fixtures I used 1x 6700k and 1x 10000k in each fixture, and I had 2 over my 20 long. I found that running only 6700k bulbs made it a bit too yellow for my tastes. Having 2 fixtures...
