It's the same plant from two different nurseries. Leaves do not get more than 1" long. 2-3" sounds like Nana, not petite/bonsai.

How are you growing it? I can't seem to be able to grow it. All other plants are growing well, just not this one. The best growth I've ever gotten is when I neglect fertilizing.

You take a wrench and remove the nipple. Easier, clamp the nipple in a vise, then turn the regulator.

It's probably just nitrifying microbes. Use a long tube cleaning brush. Not easy, but it works. Then run a solution of bleach through it with a pump.
