Never tried putting a heater in a filter but they do get really hot. I was being stubborn and tried moving it right after unplugging and it during a water change and ended up burning my finger.

What scissors do you use to trim HC?

I'm wondering if I should buy the wave(S) curved ones or regular curved scissors. The S curve costs $120 on AFA but they have generic ones on ebay for about $22. The regular curve ones are about $10....

I'm planning on getting some ludwigia brevipes and eleocharis vivipara once the tank is filled. Ludwigia brevipes will go where my rocks are and I'm going to make an arch with the hair grass.

My favorite are cardinal tetras but they're so expensive. They can be cheap if they're on sale at petsmart but 80% of the time I've been there, they had ich infested ones. I would go with green neon...

How's my dry start going?

Just finished planted the HC in yesterday. The rocks are pretty dirty from soil getting everywhere. They also have quite a lot of algae on them. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?
