You have to chop those worm up to bite size pieces.
You can freeze them so you can cut them up easily and store them away.

I wouldn't worry about it. You can get another ph kit or meter to verify. Test kits aren't the most accurate things in the world.

I wouldn't worry about the pH in this case now that I think about it. Get a tds meter. It's about $20.

TDS is more important for you to match for your SA fish.

I think they do sell tds & ph...

What pumps are you getting? You can get peristaltic pumps fairly cheap. They're accurate and won't allow back flow.

You can use those fancy fertilizer calculators to figure out the dosing.

Or you can get tank raised water...

It'll be expensive, more than glass. I'm not sure of the structural integrity but at least .75" thick would work. Large sheets tend to bend under the weight.

You can feed water bugs, a little yeast and powdered spirulina you find at the health food store.
