I forgot to mention that the tank would have pressurized CO2. So, sponge filters are out, unless I can put a powerhead over the intake tubing of a sponge filter....

Umm...I'll have pics up by te end of the week. But I think the growth is not as compact compared to higher lighting levels. It depends on what you definition of compact is...:-)

Thanks Hydro...it's something that doesn't need that deep a substrate. I've tried to place rocks like that before, and the substrate-depth is not much when you want to grow plants between rocks. ...

I found out after I posted, that the old model (which is what I have) uses two ballasts, as alan and AFK mentioned. So, I think I'll order another ballast from them, along...

One tube in my 2-tube T5HO fixture stopped working. I have no idea when. It is on a 29g that undergoes a ton of change.
Is there any way to fix this? If not, what is usually the recommended course?...

The two rocks in the back are almost of equal height. A smaller rock instead of the larger rock on the back left should even things out.

I think as a first option, go with two 15W spiral CFLs. If you are dissatisfied, you can either up the wattage to two 20W or two 25W (which IMO should be used with regular CO2 and excel to avoid...
