Ask your store. Most stores won't label the fish as tank raised because in my experience most customers don't care. I think you will be surprised how many are tank raised.

What species? I have several of the freshwater species, brachygobius aggregatus, and they all ate everything right off the bat. I'd definitely try cyclops as it will be more bite sized for them.
